He was buried at Home of Peace Jewish cemetery. He married on 5 May 1956 in Syktywkar, Komi Republic, Russia,

3. Sofya Margolina, who was born on 5 May 1923 in Moscow, Russia and died on 9 November 2000 in Escondido, California, daughter of Iosif ben Isaak and Polina (Peysia) bat Hirsh Leib (Brodsky (Brodskaya)) Margolin.

Vladimir was employed as a Professor of Literature. His religious affiliation was Jewish.
